Meet Tara LaFerrara, the Fitness Coach Helping Women Train Like Athletes

From chasing sprint titles to chasing a 195 lb bench press, Tara trains with one goal: build power that carries into every room – and teach other women to do the same.

🏃‍♀️ From State Sprinter to Fitness Coach

Tara’s athletic background started long before her lifting journey. She was a 2007 state sprinter – and nearly two decades later, she’s still chasing performance goals.

Her strength journey really developed during COVID, training at home with just a pair of dumbbells. When gyms reopened, she didn’t just return… she committed. She signed up for a competition and started training with intention.

The result?

✨ She transformed, physically and mentally.
🧠 She trained smarter.
😴 Recovered better.
💪 Got stronger.

🤓 Then she educated herself deeply enough to coach it.

What started as a personal journey turned into a full-time focus: helping women train like athletes and build strength that lasts.

As Tara continued to work at her mission, her lifting became part of building something bigger...

Through the Broads App, she offers group and 1:1 programming designed to help women train like athletes – lifting, jumping, sprinting, and building real-world power.

Her mission with the app is simple: Help women become strong, capable, and unapologetically powerful.

She also hosts The Broads Podcast, where she talks about strength, confidence, identity, and what it really means to take up space in fitness and in life.
