For the sweet and salty lovers, satisfy your taste buds with our Caramel Buff Apple Bark! This delectable treat combines the rich flavors of dark chocolate and creamy caramel with the satisfying crunch of crushed mini pretzels and the refreshing zing of green apples. Our Buff Chick Chef (aka @pancakegawd) did not disappoint with this easy-to-make recipe!
Protein-Packed Caramel Apple Bark
MACROS (per serving):
Makes 12 servings
28g of Buff Whey, S’mores
165g of dark chocolate chips
20g of mini pretzels, crushed
75g of green apples, diced and soaked in lemon water
1 tbsp of coconut oil
2 tbsp of fat free Fairlife milk
20g of caramel dip (light) by Marzetti
Prepare a large baking sheet (approximately 13” X 18”) by lining it with parchment paper.
Melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil and milk in the microwave. Start with 30 seconds on high power, then remove and stir well. Cook for an additional 15 seconds on high power, then remove and stir well. Repeat as needed. Warm them up until you can stir the chocolate chips smoothly. Spread this thinly and evenly onto the prepared cookie sheet.
Pat the apples with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Spread the diced apples and pretzels into the chocolate base.
Drizzle the caramel across the chocolate, apples, and pretzels.
Place the pan into the freezer and allow it to chill for 2 hours or until completely set.
Remove from the freezer and cut it up into 12 pieces, then serve or freeze for later.
