High Protein Sherbet

🍧 🌈 High Protein Rainbow Sherbet
Your ice cream machine just became your new favorite workout recovery tool.
Summer vibes, fruity flavors, and 20+ grams of protein per batch — this High Protein Rainbow Sherbet is proof that hitting your macros doesn't have to feel like a chore. We're using our Rainbow Sherbet Clear Protein as the base, mixed with a fruity juice blend, fresh orange, and just enough cream to give it that smooth, creamy texture you expect from a real sherbet.
Churn it up, freeze it down, and scoop into the most fun post-workout treat you've ever had. Let's get into it. 🍊
Ingredients
1 scoop Rainbow Sherbet Clear Protein
2 cups juice of choice (we recommend a mix of fruit punch and orange juice — trust us on this one)
2 cups fresh or frozen fruit (berries, mango, peach, etc.)
1 orange, peeled and segmented
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 cup whole milk or 2%
¼ cup heavy cream
2 tbsp fresh lemon or lime juice
1 pinch of salt
Instructions
Step 1: Mix Your Protein Base
Add 1 scoop of Rainbow Sherbet Clear Protein to your shaker with 2 cups of juice. Shake until fully combined with no clumps. Set aside — this is going in after the fruit.
Step 2: Make the Fruit Purée
Blend your 2 cups of fruit and the peeled orange together until completely smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve for a silkier texture (highly recommended if you're using berries with seeds).
Step 3: Dissolve the Sugar
Whisk the sugar into the fruit purée until fully dissolved. Add the lemon or lime juice and a pinch of salt. Don't skip the acid — it brightens everything up.
Step 4: Add the Protein Juice Mixture
Pour your shaken protein + juice mixture into the fruit purée and stir until fully combined.
Step 5: Add the Dairy
Stir in the milk and heavy cream. The mixture may look slightly separated — that's totally normal!
Step 6: Chill the Base
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight. A cold base churns faster and gives you a better final texture.
Step 7: Churn
Pour your chilled base into your pre-frozen ice cream maker bowl and churn per your machine's instructions (typically 20–30 minutes) until soft-serve consistency.
Step 8: Harden (Optional)
For a scoopable sherbet, transfer to a freezer-safe container, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface, and freeze for at least 2 more hours before serving.
