Packed with 28g of protein per serving, it perfectly balances flavors with diced Granny Smith apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and Fried Vanilla Ice Cream flavored Buff Whey. And it's topped with a protein-packed crumble made from rolled oats so you can treat yourself without compromising on your fitness goals!
Protein Apple Crisp
MACROS (per serving):
Makes 1 serving
28g of Buff Whey, Fried Vanilla Ice Cream
120g of Granny Smith apples, diced
½ tbsp of ground cinnamon
A dash of nutmeg
⅓ cup of water
15g of protein rolled oats
8g of light brown sugar
14g of reduced fat butter
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a small bowl, combine 4g of brown sugar, protein rolled oats, and butter until the topping is crumb-like, then set aside.
In a skillet over medium heat, toss in the apples with 4g of brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Allow apples to cook down until they're softened, then add the water and allow it to come to a slight boil before removing it from the heat.
Add in the Buff Whey, Fried Vanilla Ice Cream and consistently stir until it’s mixed well and no clumps are visible.
BAKE APPLE CRUMBLE:
Add the filling to a safe baking dish and top with the crumble.
Bake for 5-6 minutes and broil for 1 minute. Allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving, and enjoy.
