Apparently, Sprinting After Deadlifts Is a Thing Now? Welcome to Apex 2025
This weekend our Found Meg and Athlete Alex Edwards decided to switch things up and attend the local Apex event, which was nothing short of electric ⚡.
Apex is sort of like a football combine–one of the new fitness competitions designed to test overall athleticism, including speed, power, strength, and endurance.
Strong, fast, capable women from all walks of life came together to test their limits, celebrate strength, and leave it all on the floor. And let us tell you — the energy? Unmatched.
Alex kicked things off with some serious inspiration:
"Apex was so fun and it was literal proof that strength and hypertrophy are a foundation for any and all athletic pursuits!!! It was so inspiring to be surrounded by strong, fast, capable women in a supportive group. I’m so glad I had Hydropack, Buff Carbs, and Clear Protein on hand to stay fueled and hydrated because there was 0 time to refuel and those events took it out of me fr 😛"

"APEX was so much fun! Explosive movements and speed tests are way out of my wheelhouse, but I couldn't believe how well I did considering. I'd love to incorporate more sprinting and jumping in my training. Especially as I learn that some power training is an important component as women age."
Meg made sure her fuel game was on point:
